  • Umar Gul's 4 for 13 was the best bowling figures for Pakistan in T20 international, surpassing the previous record of 4 for 18 held by Mohammad Asif against India at Durban in the last year and the joint third best bowling figures in T20Is, jointly with RP Singh.
  • 50* : Shoaib Malik and Fawad Alam set up the record eighth-wicket partnership for Pakistan in T20 international, previously held by the 34-run stand between Misbah-ul-Haq and Sohail Tanvir against India in the inaugural 2007 World Twenty20 final and also the record eighth-wicket stand in T20I cricket history, previously held by the 40-run stand between Scott Styris and Jeff Wilson against Australia at Auckland in 2005.
  • Sri Lanka's 137 was their third lowest score in the batting first in T20 international and It is their second lowest total against Pakistan in T20Is.

Sri Lanka scored 137-9 in 20 overs with top scorer by Jehan Mubarak cracked a 39 off 29-balls including six-fours, Chamara Kapugedera struck 27 off 28-balls including 3-fours.

Debutant Kaushalya Weeraratne - who scored a unbeaten 20 off 13-balls on his debut T20I match included one-four and a six with strike-rate of 153.84 and Mahela Udawatte 16.

Pakistan best bowler by Umar Gul claimed 4-wicket haul for 13-runs in 3-overs, Fawad Alam, Shahid Afridi, Shoaib Malik and Shoaib Akhtar each took one-wickets.

Pakistan chased 141-7 in 19.5 overs with top scorer by Shoaib Malik 42 not out, Younis Khan struck a run-a-ball 24-runs including two-fours.

Fawad Alam hammered a 23 off 8-balls including 3-sixes with strike rate of 287.50 and Misbah-ul-Haq scored a run-a-ball 20-runs with one-six & a four.

Canada best bowler by Debutant Kaushalya Weeraratne - who claimed a career-best 4-wickets for 19-runs in 4-overs on his debut match, Farveez Maharoof took 2-wickets and one for Dilhara Fernando.

Shoaib Malik named player of the match for his match-winning unbeaten 42-runs knocked off facing 33-balls including 5-fours with strike rate of 127.27.
