Bowlers attack before An quick-fire half-centuries from Graeme Smith and Loots Bosman steers to South Africa registered their historic first T20I win against Pakistan by record ten-wicket in a one-sided game of the one-off T20I.

  • South Africa's 10-wicket win was the first-ever largest victory by terms of wicket remaining in T20 international cricket history.
  • South Africa's 51-balls spare was the largest victory by terms of balls remaining in T20 internationals.
  • 132* : Loots Bosman and Graeme Smith set up the record any wicket partnership in T20 international cricket history, surpassing the previous record held by the 111-run stand between Graeme Smith and Herschelle Gibbs against Australia at same venue in 2006 and also the best opening stand in T20Is.
  • Pakistan's 129 was their lowest score in T20 internationals, previously they scored 148 against England at Bristol in the last year.

Pakistan scored 129-8 in 20 overs with top scorer by Mohammad Hafeez 25, Kamran Akmal 21, Naved-ul-Hasan 17 and Shoaib Malik 15.

South Africa best bowler by Debutant Alfonso Thomas - who picked up 3-wickets for 25-runs in 4-obers on his debut T20I match, Albie Morkel, Roger Telemachus, Johan van der wath and Shaun Pollack each took one-wickets.

South Africa chased 132-0 in 11.3 overs with top scorer by Graeme Smith cracked a unbeaten 71 off 40-balls including 9-fours and 4-sixes with strike rate of 177.50 and Loots Bosman 53 not out.

Loots Bosman named Player of the match, who really kick-started South Africa's chase and scoring a flurry 32-ball unbeaten 53-runs including 5-fours and two-sixes with strike rate of 165.62.
