Mahela Jayawardene century sets up to Sri Lanka cruising to via DLS method 14-run victory over Zimbabwe in a rain-truncated game of the World Twenty20 Group B match.
* Mahela Jayawardene became the fourth batsman to score 100 in T20 internationals after Chris Gayle, Brendon McCullum and Suresh Raina.
* Mahela Jayawardene became the first Sri Lankan batsman to score 100 in T20 internationals and also in World Twenty20.
Sri Lanka scored 173-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by Mahela Jayawardene 100 - which was his 1st T20I hundred, Thisara Perera 23 and Chamara Kapugedera 13.
Zimbabwe best bowler by Ray Price, Greg Lamb both took two-wickets, Elton Chigumbura, Graeme Cremer and Prosper Utseya each took one-wickets.
Zimbabwe scored 29-1 in 5 overs - due to rain DLS par score 43 after 5-overs Zimbabwe were 14-run behind of the par score when the match-stopped - with top scorer by Tatenda Taibu 12 not out and Brendan Taylor 11 not out.
Mahela Jayawardene named player of the match for his masterclass rapid 100-runs knocked off facing 64-balls including 10-fours and 4-sixes with strike rate of 156.25.
