Marchant de Lange holds nerve as South Africa thrilling 3-run victory over New Zealand and clinch the three-match series with 2-1 in a nail-biter game of the third Twenty20 international.

South Africa's 165 was their third highest score against New Zealand in T20 internationals. New Zealand's 162 was their second highest score against South Africa in T20 internationals. 65 : Rob Nicol and Martin Guptill set up the second highest first-wicket partnership for New Zealand against South Africa in T20 international and New Zealand ninth highest opening stand in T20Is. AB de Villiers and JP Duminy set up the third highest fourth-wicket partnership for South Africa against New Zealand in T20 international and South Africa's seventh highest fourth-wicket stand in T20Is.

South Africa scored 165-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by JP Duminy blasted a 38 off 20-balls including 2-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 190.

Hashim Amla hammered a 33 off 22-balls including 4-fours & a six with strike-rate of 150, AB de Villiers 29 and Wayne Parnell 22 not out.

New Zealand best bowler by Rob Nicol, Tim Southee both took 2-wickets and one for James Franklin - Doug Bracewell.

New Zealand scored 162-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by Jesse Ryder struck 52 off 42-balls including 5-four & 2-sixes.

Rob Nicol blasted a 33 off 19-balls including 5-fours & a six with strike rate of 173.68, Martin Guptill cracked a 26 off 19-balls included 3-fours & a six and Brendon McCullum 18.

South Africa best bowler by Johan Botha, Morne Morkel, Marchant de Lange each took 2-wickets and one for Robin Peterson.

Johan Botha named player of the match for his excellent spin bowling attack to took top-orders 2-wickets for 20-runs in 4-overs.
