Sri Lanka held their nerve to thrilling 5-run victory over South Africa in a nail-biter game of the 14th match of a World Twenty20.
* Dale Steyn conceded 17 runs in his first over, which equalled the third most expensive opening over of an innings in the World T20. Scotland's Calum Macleod holds the record, conceding 19 runs against New Zealand in the 2009 World T20.
* This was South Africa's fourth-consecutive loss in World T20s. The last match that they won in the World T20 was against the same opposition, in Hambantota.
Sri Lanka scored 165-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by Kusal Perera 61 and Angelo Mathews cracked a 43 off 32-balls including 3-fours & a six.
South Africa best bowler by Imran Tahir picked up 3-wickets, Morne Morkel and Dale Steyn both took two-wickets.
South Africa scored 160-8 in 20 overs with top scorer by JP Duminy cracked a 39 off 30-balls including 3-fours & 2-sixes, Quinton de Kock struck 25 off 18-balls included 4-fours & a six.
AB de Villiers blasted a 24 off 16-balls including 3-fours with strike rate of 150, Hashim Amla 23 and David Miller 19.
Sri Lanka best bowler by Sachithra Senanayake takes 2-wickets, Angelo Mathews, Nuwan Kulasekara, Lasith Malinga and Ajantha Mendis each took one-wickets.
Kusal Perera named Player of the match for his quick-fire 61-runs knocked off facing 40-balls including 6-fours and 3-sixes with strike rate of 152.50.
