Sri Lanka won the Super Over after Tim Southee holds nerve as match-tied in a nail-biter game of the 13th match of a World Twenty20.

* This is the seventh Twenty20 to end in a tie. New Zealand have been involved in four of the seven. It is also the second tie in the World Twenty20 after the game between India and Pakistan in 2007.

* Rob Nicol's 58 is his highest score in Twenty20 internationals and the third-highest for a New Zealand batsman against Sri Lanka.

* Tillakaratne Dilshan's 76 is the second-highest score by a Sri Lankan batsman against New Zealand in World Twenty20 matches. It is also his second-best score in World Twenty20 games after the 96 against West Indies in 2009.

* Ajantha Mendis conceded 48 off his four overs, the most he has conceded in a Twenty20 game, surpassing the 42 runs against Australia in the World Twenty20 in 2010.

* New Zealand's total of 174 is their highest score in Twenty20 matches against Sri Lanka. It is also their second-highest score in Pallekele, after the 191 against Bangladesh.

* Sri Lanka's score of 68 in the first six overs is the fifth-highest Powerplay score in the World Twenty20. The highest Powerplay score (20 overs per innings) is West Indies' 71 against Australia at The Oval in 2009.

Sri Lanka enter into Super Eights after a Lasith Malinga defending 13 in a Super Over eliminator.

New Zealand scored 174-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by Rob Nicol struck 58 off 40-balls including 4-sixes & 3-fours with strike rate of 145.

Martin Guptill cracked a 38 off 30-balls included six-fours, Brendon McCullum 25 and Ross Taylor 23.

Sri Lanka best bowler by debutant Akila Dhananjay - who took two-wickets on his debut T20I match, Nuwan Kulasekara takes 2-wickets and one for Lasith Malinga - Ajantha Mendis.

Sri Lanka scored 174-6 in 20 overs with top scorer by Tillakaratne Dilshan 76, Mahela Jayawardene hammered a 44 off 26-balls including 3-sixes & 3-fours with strike rate of 169.23 and Kumar Sangakkara struck 21 off 14-balls with four boundaries.

New Zealand best bowler by James Franklin took two-wickets and one for Jacob Oram.

Tillakaratne Dilshan named player of the match for his rapid 76-runs knocked off facing 53-balls including 5-fours and 3-sixes with strike rate of 143.39.
