Mohammad Nabi's four-for before Mohammad Shahzad's fifty helped to Afghanistan record ten-wicket victory over Ireland and clinch the title in a one-sided game of the final of the inaugural Desert T20 Challenge.

Ireland's 71 was their second lowest-score ever in T20 internationals. Mohammad Nabi's 4 for 10 was the second best bowling figures for Afghanistan in T20 international and Afghanistan's best figures against Ireland in T20Is. Mohammad Shahzad has set a new world record - the first cricketer to score fifties in two separate international matches on the same day in T20 international cricket history. The ten-wicket win is Afghanistan's first and the 14th overall in Twenty20 internationals. It is also the first such defeat for Ireland.

Ireland scored 71 for all-out in 13.2 overs with top scorer by Paul Stirling 17 and Greg Thompson 10 not out.

Afghanistan best bowler by Mohammad Nabi 4-10, Karim Janat, Amir Hamza and Fareed Ahmad each took two-wickets.

Afghanistan chased 75-0 in 7.5 overs with top scorer by Mohammad Shahzad cracked a unbeaten 52 off 40-balls including 9-fours & a six and Nawroz Mangal 17 not out.

Mohammad Nabi named player of the match for his sensational spin bowling attack to claimed a career-best 4-wicket haul for 10-runs in 2.2 overs.

Mohammad Nabi earned player of the series for picked up 7-wickets.
