Mohammad Shahzad's historic century sets up to Afghanistan massive 81-run victory over Zimbabwe, despite a Hamilton Masakadza's assault and clinch the two-match series 2-0 whitewash in the second T20I.

Match Stats : 
  • This is the fourth time Afghanistan have whitewashed their oppositions in a bilateral two-match series in T20 international and their second against Zimbabwe in T20Is.
  • This is the 13th time Zimbabwe have suffered a clean sweep in a bilateral two-match series in T20 internationals.
  • Afghanistan's 81-run win was their second largest victory by terms of runs in T20 international and it is their biggest win against Zimbabwe in T20Is, previously they won by 5-runs at same venue in this series' first T20I.
  • Zimbabwe's 81-run defeat was their third worst by margin of runs in T20Is
  • Mohammad Shahzad became the 16th centurion in T20 internationals and the highest individual score from an Associate nation in T20Is and fourth overall.
  • Mohammad Shahzad hammered a 52-ball seventh fastest century in T20 international and became the first Afghanistan batsman to score a hundred in T20I cricket history.
  • 8 : Mohammad Shahzad hit the most sixes in an innings by an Afghanistan batsman in T20 international, surpassing the his own record of 7-sixes hit against Scotland at Edinburgh in the last year and the joint fourth in the list of most sixes in an innings in T20Is.
  • Afghanistan's 215 was their highest score ever in T20 international, previous highest was 210 against Scotland at Edinburgh in 2015 and it is the tenth highest total in T20Is.

Afghanistan scored 215-6 in 20 overs with top scorer by Mohammad Shahzad 118 not out - which was his 1st T20I hundred.

Zimbabwe best bowler by Tendai Chisoro, Luke Jongwe, Graeme Cremer, Donald Tiripano and Chamu Chibhabha each took one-wickets.

Bangladesh scored 134 for all-out in 18.1 overs with top scorer by Hamilton Masakadza struck 63 off 44-balls including 5-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 143.18 and Peter Moor cracked a 35 off 32-balls including 2-sixes & 2-fours.

Afghanistan best bowler by Amir Hamza, Dawlat Zadran, Sayed Shirzad each took two-wickets and one for Mohammad Nabi - Rashid Khan.

Mohammad Shahzad named player of the match for his record-breaking career-best 118-runs knocked off facing 67-balls including 10-fours and 8-sixes with strike rate of 176.11.

Mohammad Shahzad earned player of the series for contributing 151-runs in the two-match T20I series.
