Rapid knocks from Shahid Afridi and a lethal No.9 Anwar Ali heroics helped to Pakistan stunning one-wicket victory over Sri Lanka and seal the two-match series 2-0 whitewash in a high-voltage game of the second T20I.

* Anwar Ali's 46 was his highest score in T20 internationals and it is the highest by a No. 9 batsman in T20I cricket history, previous record by Sohail Tanvir 41 against Sri Lanka at Dubai (DSC) in 2013.

* Anwar Ali became the highest-scorer by an Pakistani at No.9 batsman in T20 internationals.

* 58 : Shahid Afridi and Anwar Ali set up the highest eighth-wicket partnership for Pakistan and the fifth-highest eighth-wicket stand in Twenty20 internationals.

Sri Lanka scored 172-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by Chamara Kapugedera blasted a unbeaten 48 off 25-balls including 4-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 192.

Debutant Shehan Jayasuriya - who scored 40 off 32-balls on his debut T20I match - including 3-fours & 2-sixes, Milinda Siriwardana 23, Kusal Perera 19.

Pakistan best bowler by Shoaib Malik takes 2-wickets, Shahid Afridi, Mohammad Irfan, Anwar Ali and Sohail Tanvir each took one-wickets.

Pakistan chased 174-9 in 19.2 overs with top scorer by Anwar Ali 46, Shahid Afridi blasted a 45 off 22-balls including 4-sixes & a four with strike rate of 204.54 and Imad Wasim cracked a unbeaten 24 off 14-balls included 2-fours & a six with strike-rate of 171.42.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Binura Fernando takes 2-wickets, Milinda Siriwardana, Thisara Perera, Shehan Jayasuriya and Lasith Malinga each took one-wickets.

Anwar Ali named Player of the match for his match-winning rapid 46-runs knocked off facing 17-balls including 4-sixes and 3-fours with strike rate of 270.58.

Shoaib Malik earned player of the series for his all-round performance to picked up 3-wickets and contributing 52-runs in the two-match T20I series.
