Brendon McCullum and Ross Taylor leads to New Zealand cruising to via DLS method 12-run victory over West Indies in a rain-hit game of the first T20I.
West Indies scored 132-8 in 18 overs - due to rain overs reduced from 20 to 18-ovees each side - with top scorer by Andre Fletcher 52, Dwayne Bravo struck 30 off 28-balls including 2-sixes and Kieron Pollard 16.
New Zealand best bowler by Tim Southee, Trent Boult, Corey Anderson each took two-wickets and one for Ish Sodhi.
New Zealand chased 117-4 in 15 overs - due to rain DLS par score 105 after 15-overs New Zealand were 12 runs ahead of the par score when the umpires finally decided that rain and poor light had made conditions unfit to continue after 15 overs
New Zealand top scorer by Brendon McCullum struck 40 off 35-balls including 3-fours & a six, Ross Taylor cracked a unbeaten 28 off 20-balls including 2-sixes & a four with strike rate of 140, Kane Williamson 19 and Corey Anderson 15.
West Indies best bowler by Darren Sammy picked up 3-wickets for 22-runs in 3-overs and Krishmar Santokie took one-wicket.
Andre Fletcher named Player of the match for his quick-fire 52-runs knocked off facing 39-balls including 4-sixes and a four with strike rate of 133.33.
