George Worker's debut fifty sets up to New Zealand massive 80-run victory over Zimbabwe in a one-sided one-off T20 international.

  • New Zealand's 80-win was their third largest victory by terms of runs in T20 international and it is their biggest victory against Zimbabwe in T20Is. previous biggest win was 34-run at same venue in 2011.
  • Zimbabwe's 80-run defeat was their third worst by margin of runs in T20Is.
  • New Zealand's 198 was their joint fifth highest score in T20 internationals and it is their second highest total against Zimbabwe in T20 internationals.

New Zealand scored 198-5 in 20 overs with top scorer by debutant George Worker - who scored 62 off 38-balls on his debut T20I match.

Martin Guptill struck 33 off 24-balls including 5-fours, Luke Ronchi cracked a 29 off 19-balls included 2-fours & a six with strike rate of 152.63.

Colin Munro blasted a unbeaten 23 off 11-balls including 3-fours & a six with strike-rate of 209.09, Kane Williamson hit 20 off 12-balls included four-fours with strike rate of 166.66 and Nathan McCullum 18 not out.

Zimbabwe best bowler by Sean Williams picked up 3-wickets and one for Graeme Cremer - Taurai Muzarabani.

Zimbabwe scored 118-8 in 20 overs with top scorer by Craig Ervine struck 42 off 46-balls including four-fours and Sean Williams 16.

New Zealand best bowler by Adam Milne takes 2-wickets for 10-runs in 4-overs, Mitchell McClenaghan took two-wickets, Grant Elliott, Ish Sodhi, James Neesham and Nathan McCullum each took one-wickets.

George Worker named Player of the match for his quick-fire 62-runs knocked off facing 38-balls including 4-sixes and 3-fours with strike rate of 163.15.

Craig Ervine earned player of the series for his brilliant 42-runs and takes two catches.
