Forties from Chris Lynn and Glenn Maxwell after Andrew Tye and Billy Stanlake combined 7-wickets helped to Australia cruising to via DLS method seven-wicket victory over New Zealand in a rain-hit game of the opening match of the inaugural T20 Tri-series.

Australia best bowler by Andrew Tye claimed a career-best 4-wickets for 23-runs in 4-overs, Billy Stanlake 3-15, Adam Zampa and Ashton Agar both took one-wickets.
