Three-wicket hauls from Lockie Ferguson and Ish Sodhi after a power-hitting display from Doug Bracewell and Scott Kuggeleijn helped to New Zealand cruise 35-run victory over Sri Lanka, despite a Thisara Perera's onslaught in the one-off T20I.
New Zealand scored 179-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by Doug Bracewell 44, debutant Scott Kuggeleijn - who blasted a unbeaten 35 off 15-balls on his debut T20I match - including 4-sixes & a four with strike-rate of 233.33.
Ross Taylor scored 33 off 37-balls including 2-fours & a six and Colin Munro 16.
Sri Lanka best bowler by Kasun Rajitha picked up 3-wickets, Lasith Malinga took two-wickets and one for Lakshan Sandakan - Thisara Perera.
Sri Lanka scored 144 for all-out in 16.5 overs with top scorer by Thisara Perera blasted a 43 off 24-balls including 3-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 179.16.
Kusal Perara struck 23 off 12-balls including 3-fours & a six, Niroshan Dickwella 18 and Kusal Mendis 17.
