Indian right-hand debutant batsman Rohit Sharma smashed a superb 177-runs knocked off facing 301-balls including 23-fours and a six helped to India posted the massive total of 453 against West Indies in the 1st innings of the first Test.
* Rohit Sharma became the 14th Indian batsman to score 100 on debut Test match and the 98th player in Test cricket history.
* Rohit Sharma's 177 was the second highest scorer on debut match for India in Test matches and the seventh highest-score on debut innings in Tests.
