Marlon Samuels' own record-breaking 89* leads to West Indies convincing seven-wicket victory over Afghanistan and clinch the three-match series 3-0 whitewash in the third T20 international.

* This is the first time West Indies have whitewashed their oppositions in a bilateral three-match series in T20 internationals.

* This is the first time Afghanistan have suffered a clean sweep in a bilateral three-match series in T20 internationals.

* Marlon Samuels' 89* was the seventh highest score for West Indies in One-day international and the highest-score by an West Indies batsman against Afghanistan in T20Is, surpassing the his own record of 35 at same venue in the first T20 international.

Afghanistan scored 146-6 in 20 overs with top scorer by Mohammad Nabi struck 38 off 30-balls including 2-sixes & 2-fours.

Noor Ali Zadran hammered a 35 off 19-balls including 5-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 184.21, Shafiqullah hit 25 off 15-balls included 3-fours & a four with strike-rate of 166.66.

West Indies best bowler by Kesrick Williams picked up 3-wickets, Rovman Powell, Samuel Badree and Jerome Taylor each took one-wickets.

West Indies chased 147-3 in 19.2 overs with top scorer by Marlon Samuels 89 not out, Jason Mohammed 23 not out, Evin Lewis 19 and Lendl Simmons 15.

Afghanistan best bowler by Rashid Khan, Shapoor Zadran and Mohammad Nabi each took one-wickets.

Marlon Samuels named Player of the match for his match-winning magnificent unbeaten 89-runs knocked off facing 66-balls including 9-fours and 3-sixes with strike rate of 134.84.
