Afif Hossain's rapid fifty and Mosaddek Hossain's 30* steers to Bangladesh crushing three-wicket victory over Zimbabwe in the opening match of a Triangular series.

  • Afif Hossain equalled a 24-ball joint second fastest fifty for Bangladesh in T20 internationals, jointly with Mushfiqur Rahim and Litton Das.
  • Zimbabwe's 144 for their fifth highest score against Bangladesh in T20 internationals.
  • Bangladesh's 148 was their eighth highest score against Zimbabwe in T20 internationals.
  • Bangladesh chased 145 was their joint fifth highest successful run-chase in T20 international and It is their second highest chase against Zimbabwe in T20Is.
  • 81* : Ryan Burl and Tinotenda Mutombodzi set up the record sixth-wicket partnership for Zimbabwe in T20 international, previously held by the 77-run stand between Hamilton Masakadza and Peter Moor against Afghanistan at Sharjah in 2016 and Zimbabwe's sixth highest any-wicket stand in T20Is.
  • 82 : Mosaddek Hossain and Afif Hossain set up the record seventh-wicket partnership for Bangladesh in T20 international, previously held by the 57-run stand between Mahmudullah and Sohag Gazi against New Zealand at Dhaka in 2013.
  • Ryan Burl became the third Zimbabwean batsman to score a fifty against Bangladesh in T20 internationals after Hamilton Masakadza (3-times) and Malcolm Waller.
  • Afif Hossain became the fifth Bangladesh batsman to score a fifty against Zimbabwe in T20 internationals.

Zimbabwe scored 144-5 in 20 overs with top scorer by Ryan Burl blasted a unbeaten 57 off 32-balls including 5-fours & 4-sixes with strike rate of 178.12.

Hamilton Masakadza struck 34 off 26-balls including 5-fours & a six and Tinotenda Mutombodzi 27.

Bangladesh best bowler by Mosaddek Hossain, Taijul Islam, Mohammad Saifuddin and Mustafizur Rahman each took one-wickets.

Bangladesh chased 148-7 in 17.4 overs with top scorer by Afif Hossain 52, Mosaddek Hossain cracked a unbeaten 30 off 24-balls including 2-sixes, Litton Das 19 and Sabbir Rahman 15.

Zimbabwe best bowler by Neville Madziwa, Kyle Jarvis, Tendai Chatara each took two-wickets and one for Ryan Burl.

Afif Hossain named Player of the match for his match-winning rapid 52-runs knocked off facing 26-balls including 8-fours & a six with strike rate of 200.
