Maldives chased 131-8 in 20 overs with top scorer by Nilantha Cooray 40, Ahmed Hassan 21 and Umar Adam 15.
Thailand best bowler by Mahsid Faheem takes 2-wickets, Ziaul Hoque, Vichanath Singh, Md Shafiqul Haque, Naveed Pathan each took one-wickets and debutant Sittipong Hongsi - who took one-wicket on his debut T20I match.
