Shaun Marsh and Dinesh Karthik's valuable innings before Praveen Kumar's early two wickets and Bhargav Bhatt four-wicket haul helped to Kings XI Punjab thumping 76-run victory over Mumbai Indians, despite a five-wicket haul from Munaf Patel in a one-sided game of the 54th match of a Indian Premier League.

Munaf Patel's 5 for 21 was the third best bowling figures for Mumbai Indians in Indian Premier League and the best-bowling-figures by an MI bowler against Kings XI Punjab in IPL, surpassing the previous record of 4 for 22 held by Lasith Malinga at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai in the IPL 2010. Bhargav Bhatt's 4 for 22 was the best bowling figures for Kings XI Punjab in Indian Premier League, surpassing the previous record of 4 for 29 held by Paul Valthaty against Deccan Chargers at Hyderabad earlier in the last month. Mumbai Indians' 87 was their lowest score in Indian Premier League, previous lowest was 94 against Rajasthan Royals at Jaipur earlier in the last month and the joint seventh worst-total in IPL.

KXIP scored 163-8 in 20 overs with top scorer by Shaun Marsh cracked a 43 off 34-balls including 5-fours.

Dinesh Karthik struck 31 off 24-balls including 4-fours & a six, Adam Gilchrist hit a run-a-ball 28-runs included 28-runs included 2-fours & a six and Paul Valthaty scored a run-a-ball 14-balls contained a boundary.

MI best bowler by Munaf Patel 5-21 and Lasith Malinga took 2-wickets.

MI scored 87 for all-out in 12.5 overs with top scorer by Kieron Pollard struck 17 off 11-balls including one-six & a four with strike rate of 154.54.

Aiden Blizzard hit 15 off 10-balls including 3-fours with strike rate of 150, Ambati Rayudu scored 13 off 19-balls included 2-fours and Harbhajan Singh hit 12 off 7-balls contained one-six & a four with strike rate of 171.42.

KXIP best bowler by Bhargav Bhatt 4-22, Praveen Kumar captured 2-wickets, Ryan Harris, Bipul Sharma and Shalabh Srivastava each took one-wickets.

Bhargav Bhatt named Player of the match for his brilliant bowling performance to claimed a career-best 4-wicket haul for 22-runs in 2.5 overs.
