Sanath Jayasuriya's 45-ball blistering century powers to Mumbai Indians comfortable nine-wicket victory over Chennai Super Kings in the 36th match of a Indian Premier League.

Mumbai Indians' 9-wicket win was their largest victory by terms of runs in Indian Premier League. Sanath Jayasuriya became the first Mumbai Indians batsman to score a century in Indian Premier League history and overall the fifth player in IPL. Sanath Jayasuriya's unbeaten 114 was the highest score for Mumbai Indians in Indian Premier League, surpassing the previous record of unbeaten 64 held by Dwayne Bravo against Kolkata Knight Riders at Kolkata earlier last month and the highest-score by an MI batsman against Chennai Super Kings in IPL, surpassing the previous record of unbeaten 45 held by Abhishek Nayar at Chennai earlier last month. Sanath Jayasuriya hammered a 45-ball second fastest century in Indian Premier League after Adam Gilchrist's 42-ball hundred against Mumbai Indians at Dr. Dy Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai earlier last month. 11 : Sanath Jayasuriya hit the second most sixes in an innings in Indian Premier League after Brendon McCullum's 13-sixes against Royal Challengers Bengalore at Bengaluru earlier opening match of the series.

CSK scored 156-6 in 20 overs with top scorer by S Badrinath blasted a 53 off 33-balls including 7-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 160.60.

MS Dhoni cracked a unbeaten 43 off 35-balls including 6-fours & a six, Stephen Fleming scored 26 off 29-balls included 4-fours and Vidyut Sivaramakrishnan hit 16 off 11-balls contained 3-runs with strike rate of 145.45.

MI best bowler by Dhawal Kulkarni picked up 3-wickets for 33-runs in 4-overs, Dwayne Bravo took 2-wickets and one for Shaun Pollock.

MI chased 158-1 in 13.5 overs with top scorer by Sanath Jayasuriya hammered a career-best unbeaten 114 off 48-balls - which was his 1st IPL hundred.

Robin Uthappa scored a unbeaten 16 off 19-balls including 2-fours and Sachin Tendulkar hit 12 off 16-balls included one-six & a four.

CSK best bowler by Joginder Sharma took one-wicket for 24-runs in 3-overs.

Sanath Jayasuriya named Player of the match for his match-winning unbeaten blistering 114-runs knocked off facing 48-balls including 11-sixes and 9-fours with strike rate of 237.50.
