Shaun Marsh's record-breaking century, James Hopes' rapid fifty and Yuvraj Singh's assault sets up to Kings XI Punjab comprehensive 41-run victory over Rajasthan Royals, despite a Niraj Patel's onslaught and storm into the semi-finals in the 56th match of a Indian Premier League.

Shaun Marsh became the first Kings XI Punjab batsman to score a hundred in Indian Premier League history and overall the sixth player in IPL. Shaun Marsh became the second batsman to score a century against Rajasthan Royals in IPL after Andrew Symonds. Shaun Marsh's 115 was the highest score by an Kings XI Punjab batsman in Indian Premier League, surpassing the previous record of 94 held by Kumar Sangakkara against Mumbai Indians at same venue earlier last month and the fourth highest-score by any batsman in IPL. Kings XI Punjab's 221 was their highest score in Indian Premier League, previous highest was 207 against Chennai Super Kings at same venue earlier last month and the third highest total by any team in IPL. 7 : Shaun Marsh hit the most sixes in an innings for Kings XI Punjab in Indian Premier League and the joint fourth in the list of most sixes in an innings in IPL.

KXIP scored massive total of 221-3 in 20 overs with top scorer by Shaun Marsh hammered a career-best 115 off 69-balls - which was his 1st IPL hundred.

James Hopes blasted a 51 off 35-balls including 7-fours & a six with strike rate of 145.71 and Yuvraj Singh hammered a 49 off 16-balls - who fell one-run short of his half-century - included 6-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 306.25.

RR best bowler by Yusuf Pathan and Shane Watson both took one-wickets.

RR scored 180-7 in 20 overs with top scorer by Niraj Patel blasted a 57 off 39-balls including 10-fours with strike rate of 146.15.

Yusuf Pathan hammered a 39 off 15-balls including 3-sixes & 3-fours with strike rate of 260, Kamran Akmal blasted a 24 off 8-balls included 3-sixes & a four with strike rate of 300.

Mahesh Rawat hit a unbeaten 23 off 19-balls included 2-fours & a six and Shane Watson scored 22 off 19-balls contained one-six & a four.

KXIP best bowler by Piyush Chawla picked up 3-wickets for 35-runs in 4-overs, James Hopes took 2-wickets and one for Irfan Pathan - Sreesanth.

Shaun Marsh named Player of the match for his power-hitting batting performance to smashed a career-best 115-runs knocked off facing 69-balls including 11-fours and 7-sixes with strike rate of 166.66.
