Three-wickets hauls from Shahbaz Nadeem and Morne Morkel before Kevin Pietersen's maiden IPL century leads to Delhi Daredevils crushing five-wicket victory over Deccan Chargers in the 23rd match of a Indian Premier League.

Kevin Pietersen hammered a 64-ball third fastest century by an Delhi Daredevils batsman in Indian Premier League. Kevin Pietersen became the fourth Delhi Daredevils batsman to score a hundred in IPL after AB de Villiers, David Warner and Virender Sehwag. Kevin Pietersen became the second Delhi Daredevils batsman to score a century against Deccan Chargers in IPL after Virender Sehwag. 9 : Kevin Pietersen hit the most sixes in an innings for Delhi Daredevils in Indian Premier League, surpassing the previous record of 7-sixes hit by Paul Collingwood against Royal Challengers Bengalore at same venue in 2010 and the joint fifth most-sixes hit by any batsman in an innings in IPL, jointly with Michael Hussey, Chris Gayle and Adam Gilchrist.

 

DC scored 157-8 in 20 overs with top scorer by Parthiv Patel blasted a 45 off 27-balls including 5-fours & a six with strike rate of 166.66.

Shikhar Dhawan cracked a 44 off 29-balls included 5-fours & a six with strike rate of 151.72, Bharat Chipli blasted a unbeaten 25 off 17-balls included 3-fours & a six with strike rate of 147.05 and Dan Christian scored 19 off 21-balls contained a boundary.

DD best bowler by Shahbaz Nadeem picked up 3-wickets for 16-runs in 4-overs, Morne Morkel captured three-wickets for 23-runs in 4-overs and Umesh Yadav took one-wicket.

DD chased 162-5 in 19.1 overs with top scorer by Kevin Pietersen hammered a career-best unbeaten 103 off 64-balls - which was his 1st IPL hundred.

Yogesh Nagar blasted a unbeaten 23 off 15-balls including 3-fours and Ross Taylor scored 13 off 11-balls included a boundary.

DC best bowler by Dale Steyn took 2-wickets and one for Veer Pratap Singh - Dan Christian.

Kevin Pietersen named Player of the match for his match-winning power-hitting batting performance to scored a career-best unbeaten 103 off facing 103-balls including 9-sixes and 6-fours with strike rate of 160.93.
