* Sanath Jayasuriya plundered 189 - the joint second highest score in One-day internationals, Jointly unbeaten 189 held by Viv Richards against England at Manchester in 1984.

* Sanath Jayasuriya's 189 was the highest Individual score at Sharjah in One-day internationals, surpassing the previous record of 169 held by Brian Lara against Sri Lanka at 1995.
