Kieron Pollard's blazing unbeaten half-century and Dinesh Karthik's 25-ball 37 before Spinners and Munaf Patel's three-for helped to Mumbai Indians hard-fought 9-run victory over Chennai Super Kings, despite a fighting innings from captain MS Dhoni's 26-ball 51 in a tight fifth match of a Indian Premier League.
* MS Dhoni equalled a 24-ball his third joint second fastest fifty for Chennai Super Kings in Indian Premier League and his second fastest fifty against Mumbai Indians in IPL after his 20-ball half-century at Bengaluru in the 2012.
MI scored 148-6 in 20 overs with top scorer by Kieron Pollard hammered a unbeaten 57 off 38-balls including 5-sixes & 4-fours with strike rate of 150.
Dinesh Karthik blasted a 37 off 25-balls including 4-fours & a six with strike rate of 148 and Harbhajan Singh hit a run-a-ball unbeaten 21-runs contained one-six & a four.
CSK best bowler by Dwayne Bravo, captured two-wickets, Dirk Nannes, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ankit Rajpoot and Ben Laughlin each took one-wickets.
CSK scored 139-9 in 20 overs with top scorer by MS Dhoni hammered a 51 off 26-balls including 5-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 196.15.
Michael Hussey hit 20 off 23-balls including 3-fours, Ravindra Jadeja and S Badrinath each scored 16-runs.
MI best bowler by Munaf Patel picked up 3-wickets for 29-runs in 4-overs, Pragyan Ojha, Harbhajan Singh both took 2-wickets and one for Mitchell Johnson - Kieron Pollard.
