Australia scored 217-7 in 50 overs with top scorer by Mark Taylor 105 off 144-balls - which was his 1st ODI hundred - including nine boundaries.

Steve Waugh struck 41 off 61-balls including 2-fours and Michael Bevan cracked a 36 off 49-balls included two boundaries.

India best bowler by Venkatesh Prasad picked up 3-wickets for 37-runs in 10-overs, Anil Kumble took 2-wickets and one for Sunil Joshi - Sachin Tendulkar.

India chased 216-8 in 48.5 overs with top scorer by Sachin Tendulkar 88, Javagal Srinath blasted a unbeaten 30 off 27-balls including 3-fours & a six with strike rate of 130.43, Ajay Jadeja 27 and Anil Kumble 16 not out.

Australia best bowler by Damien Fleming, Steve Waugh both took 2-wickets and one for Glenn McGrath - Jason Gillespie.

Sachin Tendulkar named Player of the match for his match-winning masterclass 88-runs knocked off facing 111-balls including 9-fours.
