Sri Lanka 1st Innings scored 381 for all-out in 139.3 overs with top scorer by Angelo Mathews 110 off 238-balls - which was his 11th Test hundred and his third century against England in Tests - included 11-fours.

England 1st Innings scored 344 for all-out in 116.1 overs with top scorer by Joe Root 186 - which was his 19th Test hundred and his fourth century against Sri Lanka in ODIs, Jos Buttler 55, Dom Bess 32 and Jonny Bairstow 28.

1st Innings Sri Lanka best bowler by Lasith Embuldeniya claimed a career-best 7-wicket haul for 132-runs in 41-overs including six maidens and Ramesh Mendis and Dilruwan Mendis both took one-wickets.

Sri Lanka 2nd Innings 126 for all-out in 35.5 overs with top scorer by Lasith Embuldeniya 40 and Ramesh Mendis 16.

Joe Root named Player of the match for his masterclass 186-runs knocked off facing 309-balls including 18-fours.

Joe Root earned player of the series for contributing 426-runs including one double-century and a century with average of 106.50 in the two-match Test series.
