West Indies' captain Kieron Pollard smashed a record-equal six-sixes in an over in T20 international cricket history during the 1st T20I of the three-match series against Sri Lanka.

West Indies had made 64 for 4 at the end of the 5th over before Kieron Pollard exploded in the 6th over, bowling by Akila Dananjaya.

Kieron Pollard dispatched Akila Dananjaya's over to one long-on, one wide-long-off, two straight and two deep midwicket sixes to become the second batsman to hit six sixes in an over in Twenty20 internationals after Yuvraj Singh.

* Kieron Pollard became the second batsman to hit 6-sixes in an over in T20 international cricket history after Yuvraj Singh.

* Kieron Pollard became the third player to hit six sixes in an over in international cricket after Herschelle Gibbs and Yuvraj Singh.

* 36-runs : Number of runs that were scored in the 6th over from Akila Dananjaya, which was the record-equal over in T20 international cricket history, jointly India's 36-runs against England at Durban in the inaugural 2007 World Twenty20 and the joint most expensive over in T20Is, jointly Stuart Broad's 36-runs.

* Kieron Pollard scored 36-runs (6, 6, 6, 6, 6, 6) - the joint most runs scored by a batsman in an over in T20 international cricket history, jointly 36-runs scored by Yuvray Singh against England at Durban in the inaugural 2007 World Twenty20.
