Andrew Tye's 5 for 17 was the best bowling figures by an debutant bowler in Indian Premier League history. Andrew Tye became the first bowler to claimed a hat-trick on debut match in IPL history. Andrew Tye's 5 for 17 was the joint eighth best bowling figures in Indian Premier League, jointly with Amit Mishra and the best bowling figures for Gujarat Lions in IPL, surpassing the previous record of 4 for 8 held by Dwayne Smith against Kolkata Knight Riders at Kanpur in the last year. Andrew Tye became the first Gujarat Lions player to claimed a hat-trick in Indian Premier League history and overall the 13th player in IPL.

RPS scored 171-8 in 20 overs with top scorer by Steven Smith blasted a 43 off 28-balls including 6-fours & a six with strike rate of 153.57.

Rahul Tripathi hammered a 33 off 17-balls including 3-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 194.11, Manoj Tiwary cracked a 31 off 27-balls included 2-fours & a six.

Ankit Sharma blasted a 25 off 15-balls including 2-fours & a six with strike rate of 166.66 and Ben Stokes hit 25 off 18-balls contained 2-fours & a six.

GL best bowler by Andrew Tye - who took 5-wicket haul on his debut IPL match,  Dwayne Smith, Ravindra Jadeja and Praveen Kumar each took one-wickets.

GL chased 172-3 in 18 overs with top scorer by Brendon McCullum hammered a 49 off 32-balls - who fell one-run short of his half-century - including 5-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 153.12.

Dwayne Smith blasted a 47 off 30-balls including 8-fours & a six with strike rate of 156.66, Suresh Raina cracked a 35 off 22-balls included 4-fours & a six with strike rate of 159.09 and Aaron Finch hammered a unbeaten 33 off 19-balls contained 3-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 173.68.

RPS best bowler by Shardul Thakur, Rahul Chahar and Imran Tahir each took one-wickets.

Andrew Tye named Player of the match for his record-breaking debut bowling performance to claimed a 5-wicket haul for 17-runs in 4-overs including a hat-trick with removed of Ankit Sharma (25), Manoj Tiwary (31) and Shardul Thakur (0).
