Brendon McCullum's half-century and MS Dhoni's assault before Bowlers attack helped to Chennai Super Kings' record 97-run victory over Kings XI Punjab in a one-sided 24th match of a Indian Premier League.
* Chennai Super Kings' 97-run win was their largest victory by terms of runs in Indian Premier League, previous biggest win by 93-runs against Delhi Daredevils at Abu Dhabi in last year.
CSK scored massive total of 192-3 in 20 overs with top scorer by Brendon McCullum hammered a 66 off 44-balls, MS Dhoni blasted a unbeaten 41 off 27-balls including 2-sixes & 2-fours with strike rate of 151.85.
Suresh Raina struck 29 off 26-balls including 4-fours, Dwayne Smith hammered a 26 off 13-balls included 3-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 200 and Ravindra Jadeja hit a unbeaten 18 off 12-balls contained 2-fours with strike-rate of 163.63.
KXIP best bowler by Axar Patel and Anureet Singh both took one-wickets.
KXIP scored 95-9 in 20 overs with top scorer by Murali Vijay cracked a 34 off 32-balls including 4-fours & a six.
Wriddhiman Saha hit 15 off 23-balls without a boundary, Shaun Marsh and Anureet Singh
CSK best bowler by Ravindra Jadeja picked up 3-wickets for 22-runs in 4-overs, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ashish Nehra both took 2-wickets and one for Mohit Sharma - Ishwar Pandey.
Brendon McCullum named Player of the match for his brilliant 66 off facing 44-balls including 8-fours and 3-sixes with strike rate of 150.
