Aaron Finch's half-century and Brendon McCullum's 49 helped to Gujarat Lions registered their historic first IPL game win against Rising Pune Supergiants by a comfortable 7-wickets in the sixth match of a Indian Premier League.
RPS scored 163-5 in 20 overs with top scorer by Faf du Plessis blasted a 69 off 43-balls including 5-fours & 4-sixes with strike rate of 160.46.
Kevin Pietersen cracked a 37 off 31-balls including 2-fours & a six, MS Dhoni blasted a unbeaten 22 off 10-balls included 2-fours & a six with strike rate of 220 and Ajinkya Rahane hit 21 off 17-balls contained 4-fours.
GL best bowler by Ravindra Jadeja, Pravin Tambe both took 2-wickets and one for Dwayne Bravo.
GL chased 164-3 in 18 overs with top scorer by Aaron Finch cracked a 50 off 36-balls, Brendon McCullum blasted a 49 off 31-balls including 3-sixes & 3-fours with strike rate of 158.06.
Suresh Raina scored a run-a-ball 24-runs including a boundary and Dwayne Bravo blasted a unbeaten 22 off 10-balls contained 3-fours & a six with strike rate of 220.
RPS best bowler by Murugan Ashwin took 2-wickets and one for Ishant Sharma.
Aaron Finch named Player of the match for his match-winning quick-fire 50 off facing 36-balls including 7-fours and 2-sixes with strike rate of 138.89.
