Mitchell Johnson and Shaun Marsh stars as Kings XI Punjab won the Super Over after Axar Patel struck four off the last-ball to match-tied against Rajasthan Royals in a high-scoring thriller of the 18th match of a Indian Premier League.
* This is the 6th IPL match to end in a tie. Rajasthan Royals have been involved in three of the six and Kings XI Punjab two times. It is the first tie between Kings XI Punjab and Rajasthan Royals in IPL.
RR scored 191-6 in 20 overs with top scorer by Ajinkya Rahane cracked a 74 off 54-balls including 6-fours & 2-sixes.
Shane Watson struck 45 off 35-balls including 5-fours & 2-sixes, Karun Nair blasted a 25 off 13-balls included 2-fours & a six.
Deepak Hooda blasted a 19 off 9-balls including 2-sixes & a four with strike rate of 211.11 and Stuart Binny hit a unbeaten 12 off 4-balls contained one-six & a four with strike-rate of 300.
KXIP best bowler by Axar Patel captured two-wickets, Sandeep Sharma, Mitchell Johnson, Anureet Singh and Shivam Sharma each took one-wickets.
KXIP chased 191-6 in 20 overs with top scorer by Shaun Marsh blasted a 65 off 40-balls, David Miller hammered a 54 off 30-balls including 5-sixes & a four with strike rate of 180.
Murali Vijay struck 21 off 18-balls including 2-sixes and Wriddhiman Saha blasted a 19 off 8-balls contained 4-fours with strike rate of 237.50.
RR best bowler by Pravin Tambe, Rahul Tewatia, Chris Morris and Deepak Hooda each took one-wickets.
Shaun Marsh named Player of the match for his quick-fire 65 off facing 40-balls including 5-fours and 3-sixes with strike rate of 162.50.
