Bowlers attack before Shai Hope's record-equal century and supporting half-century from Evin Lewis steers to West Indies comfortable eight-wicket victory over Sri Lanka and take a 1-0 lead in the first ODI.

Sri Lanka scored 232 for all-out in 49 overs with top scorer by Danushka Gunathilaka struck 55 off 61-balls including 7-fours.

Dimuth Karunaratne cracked a 52 off 61-balls including 4-fours, Debutant Ashen Bandara - who scored 50 off 60-balls on his debut ODI match - included four-fours and Lakshan Sandakan 16 not out.

West Indies best bowler by Jason Mohammed took 2-wickets for 12-runs in 4-overs including a maiden, Jason Holder takes 2-wickets, Kieron Pollard, Fabian Allen and Alzarri Joseph each took one-wickets.

West Indies chased 236-2 in 47 overs with top scorer by Shai Hope 110 - which was his 10th ODI hundred and his second century against Sri Lanka in ODIs.

Evin Lewis struck 65 off 90-balls including 4-fours & 2-sixes, Darren Bravo cracked a unbeaten 37 off 47-balls included 2-fours & a six.

Sri Lanka best bowler by Dushmantha Chameera took 2-wickets for 50-runs in 10-overs.

Shai Hope named Player of the match for his match-winning magnificent 110-runs knocked off facing 133-balls including 12-fours and a six.
