Bowlers attack before Debutants Kushal Bhurtel and Aasif Sheikh's debut half-centuries steers to Nepal comfortable nine-wicket victory over Netherlands in a one-sided game of the opening match of a Tri-nation series.
* Nepal's 9-wicket win was their joint largest victory by terms of wickets remaining in T20 international, it is their 3rd time win by nine wickets and 1st time Nepal had defeated Netherlands by nine wickets in T20Is.
* Kushal Bhurtel became the second Nepal batsman to score a fifty or more runs on debut T20I match after Sundeep Jora.
* Aasif Sheikh became the third Nepal batsman to score a fifty or more runs on debut T20I match after Sundeep Jora and Kushal Bhurtel.
* 116 : Kushal Bhurtel and Aasif Sheikh set up the record first-wicket partnership for Nepal in T20 international, previously held by the 108-run stand between Paras Khadka and Gyanendra Malla against Bhutan at same venue in 2019 and Nepal's second highest any-wicket stand in T20Is.
Netherlands scored 136-4 in 20 overs with top scorer by Bas de Leede struck 41 off 49-balls including 3-fours & 2-sixes, Scott Edwards cracked a 30 off 32-balls included 2-fours & a six.
Pieter Seelaar cracked a unbeaten 23 off 17-balls including two-fours & a six and his Antonius Staal hammered a unbeaten 20 off 9-balls included 2-fours & a six with strike rate of 222.22.
Nepal best bowler by Sandeep Lamichhane took 2-wickets, Sompal Kami takes 1-wicket and Debutant Shahab Alam - who took one-wicket on his debut T20I match.
Nepal chased 141-1 in 15 overs with top scorer by Debutant Kushal Bhurtel - who scored 62 off 46-balls on his debut T20I match.
Debutant Aasif Sheikh - who scored a unbeaten 54 off 38-balls on his debut T20I match - including 4-sixes & 4-fours with strike rate of 142.10 and Gyanendra Malla 13 not out.
