Babar Azam's brilliant century and Imam-ul-Haq's supporting half-century helped to Pakistan pulled off a last-ball thrilling three-wicket victory over South Africa, despite a maiden hundred from Rassie van der Dussen and take a 1-0 lead in a nail-biter game of the first ODI.
* Pakistan chased 274 was their third highest successful run-chase against South Africa in One-day international and It is their highest chase against South Africa in South African soil in ODIs.
* Babar Azam became the ninth Pakistan batsman to score a hundred against South Africa in One-day internationals.
* 116 : Rassie van der Dussen and David Miller set up the third highest fifth-wicket partnership for South Africa against Pakistan in One-day internationals.
* 177 : Imam-ul-Haq and Babar Azam set up the second highest second-wicket partnership for Pakistan against South Africa in One-day international and Pakistan's eighth highest second-wicket stand in ODIs.
South Africa scored 273-6 in 50 overs with top scorer by Rassie van der Dussen 123 not out off 134-balls - which was his 1st ODI hundred - including 10-fours & 2-sixes.
David Miller struck 50 off 56-balls including 5-fours, Andile Phehlukwayo hit 29 off 35-balls included 4-fours.
Quinton de Kock scored 20 off 18-balls including 3-fours & a six and Aiden Markram hit 19 off 23-balls included three-fours & a six.
Pakistan best bowler by Shaheen Shah Afridi, Haris Rauf both took 2-wickets and one for Faheem Ashraf - Mohammad Hasnain.
Pakistan chased 274-7 in 50 overs with top scorer by Babar Azam 103 off 104-balls - which was his 13th ODI hundred and his first century against South Africa in ODIs.
Imam-ul-Haq struck 70 off 80-balls including 3-fours & a six, Mohammad Rizwan scored 40 off 52-balls included 4-fours and Shadab Khan hit 33 off 30-balls including 2-fours & a six.
South Africa best bowler by Anrich Nortje claimed a 4-wickets for 51-runs in 10-overs, Andile Phehlukwayo took 2-wickets and one for Kagiso Rabada.
Babar Azam named Player of the match for his match-winning brilliant 103-runs knocked off facing 104-balls including 17-fours.
