Bowlers attack before Half-centuries from Nicholas Pooran and Jason Holder guided West Indies convincing four-wicket victory over Australia, despite a superb bowling display from Mitchell Starc and level the series with 1-1 in a low-scoring game of the second ODI.

Match Stats :
  • Australia lost their top six batsmen wickets for just 45-runs - which was their second worst first six-wicket collapse against West Indies in One-day international and their seventh worst first 6-wicket collapse in ODIs.
  • 59 : Adam Zampa and Wes Agar set up the third highest ninth-wicket partnership for Australia against West Indies in One-day international and Australia's eighth highest ninth-wicket stand in ODIs.
  • 93 : Nicholas Pooran and Jason Holder set up the fourth highest sixth-wicket partnership for West Indies against Australia in One-day internationals and West Indies' joint tenth highest sixth-wicket partnership in ODIs, jointly 93-run stand held by between Marlon Samuels and Darren Sammy against South Africa at Port Elizabeth in 2015.

Australia scored 187 for all-out in 47.1 overs with top scorer by Wes Agar struck 41 off 36-balls including 3-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 113.88.

Adam Zampa cracked a 36 off 62-balls including 4-fours, Matthew Wade scored 36 off 68-balls included two boundaries, Mitchell Starc 19 and Josh Phillippe 16.

West Indies best bowler by Akeal Hossain takes 3-wickets for 30-runs in 3-overs, Alzarri Joseph picked up 3-wickets for 39-runs in 8.1-overs, Sheldon Cottrell took 2-wickets and one for Hayden Walsh - Jason Holder.

West Indies chased 191-6 in 38 overs with top scorer by Nicholas Pooran 59 not out, Jason Holder struck 52 off 69-balls including 5-fours & a six and Shai Hope hit 38 off 43-balls included 6-fours.

Australia best bowler by Mitchell Starc picked up 3-wickets for 26-runs in 10-overs including a maiden, Adam Zampa took 2-wickets and one for Ashton Turner.

Nicholas Pooran named Player of the match for his match-winning magnificent unbeaten 59-runs knocked off facing 75-balls including 2-sixes and 2-fours.
