Bowlers attack before Half-centuries from Mohammad Naim and Soumya Sarkar helped to Bangladesh comfortable eight-wicket victory over Zimbabwe and take a 1-0 lead in the first T20I.

* 64 : Wesley Madhevere and Regis Chakabva set up the third highest first-wicket partnership for Zimbabwe against Bangladesh in T20 international and Zimbabwe's tenth highest opening stand in T20Is.

* 102 : Mohammad Naim and Soumya Sarkar set up the record first-wicket partnership for Bangladesh in T20 international, previously held by the 92-run stand between Tamim Iqbal and Litton Das against Zimbabwe at Dhaka in the last year, It is Bangladesh's sixth highest any-wicket partnership in T20Is and Bangladesh's second highest any-wicket stand against Zimbabwe in T20Is.

Zimbabwe scored 152 for all-out in 19 overs with top scorer by Regis Chakabva hammered a 43 off 22-balls including 5-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 195.45.

Debutant Dion Myers - who scored 35 off 22-balls on his debut T20I match - including 2-fours with strike rate of 159.09, Wesley Madhevere 23 and Luke Jongwe 18.

Bangladesh best bowler by Mustafizur Rahman picked up 3-wickets, Shoriful Islam, Mohammad Saifuddin both took 2-wickets and one for Soumya Sarkar - Shakib Al Hasan.

Bangladesh chased 153-2 in 18.5 overs with top scorer by Mohammad Naim cracked a unbeaten 63 off 51-balls including 6-fours, Soumya Sarkar 50, Nurul Hasan 16 not out and Mahmudullah 15.

Soumya Sarkar named Player of the match for his magnificent 50-runs knocked off facing 45-balls including 4-fours and 2-sixes.
