Bowlers script to Bangladesh seal a their historic first T20I win against New Zealand and take a 1-0 lead in a one-sided game of the first T20I.

  • Bangladesh registered their first-ever T20I win against New Zealand after ten matches lost.
  • New Zealand's 60 was their joint lowest score in T20 international, jointy with their lowest total was 60 against Sri Lanka at Chattogram in the 2014 World Twenty20.
  • Bangladesh chased 61 was their lowest successful run-chase in T20 international, previous lowest chase was 73 against Afghanistan at same venue in the 2014 World Twenty20.
  • Cole McConchie became the second New Zealand bowler to take a wicket off first ball of his T20I career after Lockie Ferguson, He took wickets with the first 2 balls.

New Zealand scored their joint lowest total of 60 in 16.5 overs with top scorer by Henry Nicholls 18 and Tom Latham 18.

Bangladesh best bowler by Mustafizur Rahman picked up 3-wickets for 13-runs in 2.5-overs, Nasum Ahmed takes 2-wickets for 5-runs in 2-overs.

Mohammad Saifuddin takes 2-wickets for 7-runs in 2-overs, Shakib Al Hasan took 2-wickets for 10-runs in 4-overs and Mahedi Hasan took one-wicket.

Bangladesh scored 62-3 in 15 overs with top scorer by Shakib Al Hasan 25, Mushfiqur Rahim 16 not out and Mahmudullah 14 not out.

New Zealand best bowler by Ajaz Patel took one-wicket, Debutants Cole McConchie and Rachin Ravindra both takes 1-wickets on their debut T20I matches.

Shakib Al Hasan named Player of the match for his match-winning all-round performance to scored a 25 off 33-balls including 2-fours after taking 2-wickets for 10-runs in 4-overs with economy rate of 2.50.
