Tabraiz Shamsi became the first South African bowler to take a five-wicket haul in Sri Lankan soil in One-day internationals. Tabraiz Shamsi's 5 for 49 was his best bowling performance for South Africa in One-day international and the fourth best bowling figures by an South African bowler against Sri Lanka in ODIs. Tabraiz Shamsi became the fourth South African bowler to claimed a five-for against Sri Lanka in One-day internationals. Sri Lanka's 197 was their second lowest score against South Africa at R Premadasa Stadium in One-day internationals.

South Africa scored 283-6 in 47 overs - due to rain overs reduced 50 to 47-overs - with top scorer by Janneman Malan 121 off 135-balls - which was his 3rd ODI hundred and his first century against Sri Lanka in ODIs.

South Africa best bowler by Tabraiz Shamsi claimed a career-best 5-wicket haul for 49-runs in 7.4-overs, Kagiso Rabada takes 2-wickets, Wiaan Mulder, Keshav Maharaj and George Linde each took one-wickets.
