Bowlers attack before Shubman Gill's superb half-century helped to Kolkata Knight Riders convincing six-wicket victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad and keep their playoff hopes alive in a low-scoring game of the 49th match of a Indian Premier League.

Sunrisers Hyderabad's 115 was their fourth lowest score in Indian Premier League and It is their worst total against Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL, previous lowest total was 128 at Bengaluru in 2017. Dinesh Karthik became the 11th player to reach 4000 runs in IPL. 21-year-old Umran Malik bowled the 150kph in the third ball of his first over - the fastest delivery by an Indian in IPL 2021.

SRH scored 115-8 in 20 overs with top scorer by Kane Williamson struck 25 off 21-balls including 4-fours, Abdul Samad 25 and Priyam Garg 11.

KKR best bowler by Tim Southee, Varun Chakravarthy, Shivam Mavi each took 2-wickets and one for Shakib Al Hasan.

KKR chased 119-4 in 19.4 overs with top scorer by Shubman Gill 57, Nitish Rana 25 and Dinesh Karthik 18 not out.

SRH best bowler by Jason Holder took 2-wickets and one for Siddarth Kaul - Rashid Khan.

Shubman Gill named Player of the match for his match-winning superb 57 off 51-balls including 10-fours with strike rate of 111.76.
