India crushed East Africa by 10 wickets in their allotted 60-over World Cup Group B of the 6th match.

The East Africans hopelessly outclassed they were bowled out for 120 in 55 overs, their top scorer by Jawahir Shah 37 off consuming 84 deliveries including five boundaries and Ramesh Sethi 23 off facing 80-balls.

India bowler Madan Lal returned the best bowling figures of three for 15, Syed Abid Ali took two for 22 with five maiden overs and Mahinder Amarnath took two for 39.

India had no trouble in reaching the victory target with openers Sunil Gavaskar scored 65 off facing 86 deliveries included nine boundaries.

Sunil Gavaskar, who was India's first ever batsman scored a fifty in World Cup and Farokh Engineer scored 54 off consuming 93 deliveries included 9 boundaries.
