Mayank Agarwal, Mohammed Siraj and Ravichandran Ashwin helped to India's record-breaking 372-run victory over New Zealand, despite a Ajaz Patel's historic ten-wicket haul and clinch the two-match series with 1-0 in the second Test match.

India's 372-run win was their largest victory by terms of runs in Test cricket history, previous biggest win by 337-runs against South Africa at Delhi in 2015. New Zealand's 372-run defeat was their worst by margin of runs in Test cricket history, previous biggest margin of defeat was 358 against South Africa at Johannesburg in 2007. Ajaz Patel became the third bowler to claimed all 10-wickets in an innings in Test cricket history after Jim Laker and Anil Kumble. Ajaz Patel became the first New Zealand bowler to take all 10-wickets in an Innings in Test cricket history. Ajaz Patel's 10 for 119 was the best bowling figures by a left-arm spinner in Test cricket history, surpassing the previous record of 9 for 127 held by Rangana Herath against Pakistan at Colombo (RPS) in 2014. New Zealand's 62 was their sixth lowest score in Test matches and It is their worst total against India in Tests, previous lowest was 94 at Hamilton in 2002. Ajaz Patel's 14 for 225 was the best match figures by any bowler against India in Test matches, surpassing the previous record of 13 for 106 held by Ian Bothan at Mumbai in 1980. Virat Kohli became the first player to win 50 international wins in each format of the game.

New Zealand 1st Innings scored 62 for all-out in 28.1 overs with top scorer by Kyle Jamieson hit 17 off 36-balls including 2-fours, Tom Latham 10 and Daryl Mitchell 8.

1st Innings India best bowler by Ravichandran Ashwin claimed a 4-wickets for 8-runs in 8-overs including two maidens, Mohammed Siraj picked up 3-wickets for 19-runs in 4-overs, Axar Patel took 2-wickets and one for Jayant Yadav.

India 2nd Innings scored 276-7 for declared in 70 overs with top scorer by Mayank Agarwal struck 62 off 108-balls including 9-fours & a six.

2nd Innings New Zealand best bowler by Ajaz Patel claimed a 4-wickets for 106-runs in 26-overs including three maidens and Rachin Ravindra picked up 3-wickets for 56-runs in 13-overs included two maidens.

New Zealand 2nd Innings scored 167 for all-out in 56.3-overs with top scorer by Daryl Mitchell cracked a 60 off 92-balls including 7-fours & 2-six.

Henry Nicholls scored 44 off 111-balls including 8-fours, Will Young hit 20 off 41-balls included 4-fours and Rachin Ravindra scored 18 off 50-balls contained 4-fours.

2nd Innings India best bowler by Ravichandran Ashwin claimed a 4-wickets for 34-runs in 22.3-overs including nine maidens.

Jayant Yadav took 4-wickets for 49-runs in 14-overs including four maidens and Axar Patel took one-wicket.
