Bernard Julien's four-wicket haul, Vanburn Holder and Andy Roberts combined 5-wickets before Half-centuries from Gordon Greenidge and Alvin Kallicharran helped to West Indies registered their historic first ODI win against New Zealand by easy 5-wickets and the second team to enter into the World Cup final in a low-scoring game of the second semifinal of a Prudential World Cup.

West Indies best bowler by Bernard Julien claimed a 4-wickets for 27-runs in 12-overs including five maidens, Vanburn Holder picked up 3-wickets for 30-runs in 8.2-overs, Andy Roberts took 2-wickets and one for Clive Lloyd.

West Indies chased 159-5 in 40.1 overs with top scorer by Alvin Kallicharran 82, Gordon Greenidge struck 55 off consuming 95-balls including 9-fours & a six and Rohan Kanhai 12 not out.

New Zealand best bowler by Richard Collinge picked up 3-wickets for 28-runs in 12-overs including four maidens, Brian McKechnie and Dayle Hadlee both took one-wickets.

Alvin Kallicharran named Player of the match for his match-winning magnificent 72-runs knocked off facing 92-balls including 7-fours and a six.
