Fifties from Virat Kohli and Rishabh Pant before Harshal Patel holds nerve as India thrilling 8-run victory over West Indies, despite a fighting half-centuries from Nicholas Pooran - Rovman Powell and took an unassailable 2-0 lead to seal the series in a tight-game of the second T20I.

Match Stats :
  • India's 8-run win was their joint ninth smallest victory by terms of runs in T20 international and It is their narrowest win against West Indies in T20Is, previous smallest win by 16-runs at Port of Spain in 2011.
  • India became the second team to 100 T20I wins (including 1-bowl out and 2-Super Over win) after Pakistan.
  • India's 186 was their seventh highest score against West Indies in T20 internationals.
  • 76 : Rishabh Pant and Venkatesh Iyer set up the record fifth-wicket partnership for India against West Indies in T20 international, previously held by the 71-run stand between S Badrinath and Rohit Sharma at Port of Spain in 2011 and India's fifth highest fifth-wicket stand in T20Is.
  • 3296 : Virat Kohli became the second leading run-scorer in T20 internationals after Martin Guptill (3299).
  • 30 : Virat Kohli equalled a joint most 50+ scores hit in T20 internationals, jointly with Rohit Sharma.
  • Kieron Pollard became the first West Indies player to appearance 100th match in T20 international cricket history and overall the ninth player in T20Is.
  • 100 : Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell set up the record third-wicket partnership for West Indies against India in T20 international, previously held by the 96-run stand between Johnson Charles and Lendl Simmons at Mumbai in 2016 World Twenty20 and West Indies' third highest third-wicket stand in T20Is.
  • West Indies' 178 was their sixth highest score against India in T20 internationals.

India scored 186-5 in 20 overs with top scorer by Rishabh Pant hammered a unbeaten 52 off 28-balls.

Virat Kohli struck 52 off 41-balls including 7-fours & a six, Venkatesh Iyer blasted a 33 off 18-balls included 4-fours & a six with strike rate of 183.33 and Rohit Sharma 19.

West Indies best bowler by Roston Chase picked up 3-wickets for 25-runs in 4-overs, Sheldon Cottrell and Romario Shepherd both took one-wickets.

West Indies scored 178-3 in 20 overs with top scorer by Rovman Powell hammered a unbeaten 68  36-balls including 5-sixes & 4-fours with strike rate of 188.88.

Nicholas Pooran blasted a 62 off 41-balls including 5-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 151.21 and Brandon King 22.

India best bowler by Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Ravi Bishnoi and Yuzvendra Chahal each took one-wickets.

Rishabh Pant named Player of the match for his quick-fire unbeaten 52 off 28-balls including 7-fours and a six with strike rate of 185.71.
