England chased 209-7 in 49 overs with top scorer by Geoff Boycott struck 68 off 85-balls including 7-fours.

Peter Willey scored 37 off 54-balls including 2-fours, Derek Randall 28, Mike Brearley 27, David Gower 17 and David Bairstow 15 not out.

Australia best bowler by Rodney Hogg picked up 3-wickets for 26-runs in 10-overs including two maidens, Dennis Lillee took 2-wickets and one for Ray Bright.

Greg Chappell named Player of the match for his masterful 92-runs knocked off facing 115-balls including 10-fours.
