Alei Nao and Norman Vanua's combined 5-wickets before Lega Siaka's superb 90, Middle-order batsmem Charles Amini, Sese Bau and Riley Hekure steers to PNG tense three-wicket victory over Nepal, despite a maiden century from Dipendra Singh Airee and clinch the their historic first ODI series win against Nepal in a tight-game the second ODI.

  • PNG chased 279 was their highest successful run-chase in One-day internationals, previous highest chase was 262 against Hong Kong at Townsville in 2014.
  • PNG registered their historic first ODI series win against Nepal.
  • Dipendra Singh Airee became the third Nepal batsman to score a hundred in One-day internationals after Paras Khadka and Rohit Paudel.
  • Dipendra Singh Airee became the second Nepal batsman to score a century against PNG in One-day internationals after Rohit Paudel's yesterday ODI match.
  • Nepal's 278 was their second highest score in One-day international and also It is their second highest total against PNG in ODIs.
  • Kushal Bhurtel became first Nepal opener batsman to be dismissed off the first ball of a ODI match.
  • This is the second time PNG have whitewashed their oppositions in a bilateral two-match series in One-day international and their first against Nepal in ODIs.
  • This is the first time Nepal have suffered a clean sweep in a bilateral two-match series in One-day internationals.

Nepal scored 278-8 in 50 overs with top scorer by Dipendra Singh Airee 105 off 140-balls - which was his 1st ODI hundred - including 7-fours.

Dev Khanal struck 72 off 86-balls including 4-fours & 3-sixes, Rohit Paudel scored 35 off 36-balls included 3-fours.

Bhim Sharki hit 26 off 19-balls including one-six & a four and Sandeep Lamichhane hammered a unbeaten 24 off 9-balls included 2-fours & a six with strike rate of 266.66.

PNG best bowler by Alei Nao picked up 3-wickets, Norman Vanua took 2-wickets and one for Chad Soper - Charles Amini.

PNG chased 283-7 in 48.4 overs with top scorer by Lega Siaka 90 off 102-balls - who fell ten-run short of his century.

Riley Hekure cracked a unbeaten 48 off 45-balls including 3-fours & 2-sixes, Sese Bau hit 38 off 69-balls included 2-fours, Charles Amini struck 35 off 30-balls including 7-fours.

Nepal best bowler by Sompal Kami picked up 3-wickets for 38-runs in 9-overs including a maiden, Pawan Sarraf took 2-wickets, Sandeep Lamichhane and Aarif Sheikh both took one-wickets.

Lega Siaka named Player of the match for his match-winning brilliant 90-runs knocked off facing 102-balls including 12-fours and six.
