Half-centuries from Shakib Al Hasan, Liton Das and Yasir Ali before Mehidy Hasan Miraz's four-for, Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam's combined 5-wickets helped to Bangladesh's famous win against South Africa by 38-runs, despite a fighting half-century from David Miller and take a 1-0 lead in the first ODI.

Bangladesh scored 314-7 in 50 overs with top scorer by Shakib Al Hasan hammered a 77 off 64-balls, Liton Das scored 50 off 67-balls including 5-fours & a six, Yasir Ali blasted a 50 off 44-balls included 4-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 113.63.

Tamim Iqbal scored 41 off 67-balls including 3-fours & a six, Mahmudullah 25, Mehidy Hasan Miraz 19 not out and Afif Hossain 17.

South Africa best bowler by Keshav Maharaj, Marco Jansen both took 2-wickets, Kagiso Rabada, Andile Phehlukwayo and Lungi Ngidi each took one-wickets.

South Africa scored 276 for all-out in 48.5 overs with top scorer by Rassie van der Dussen struck 86 off 98-balls including 9-fours & a six.

David Miller hammered a 79 off 58-balls including 8-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 138.59, Temba Bavuma scored 31 off 55-balls included 2-fours.

Keshav Maharaj blasted a 23 off 16-balls including 3-fours & a six with strike rate of 143.75, Kyle Verreynne 21 and Lungi Ngidi 15 not out.

Bangladesh best bowler by Mehidy Hasan Miraz claimed a 4-wickets for 61-runs in 9-overs, Taskin Ahmed picked up 3-wickets for 36-runs in 10-overs including a maiden, Shoriful Islam took 2-wickets and one for Mahmudullah.

Shakib Al Hasan named Player of the match for his superb 77 off 64-balls including 7-fours & 3-sixes with strike rate of 120.31.
