Venkatesh Iyer and Nitish Rana's quick-fire 43 before Pat Cummins' triple-wicket in an over and Andre Russell's two wickets helped to Kolkata Knight Riders' record 52-run victory over Mumbai Indians, despite a Jasprit Bumrah's maiden five-for in the 56th match of a Indian Premier League.

Kolkata Knight Riders' 52-run win was their seventh largest victory by terms of runs in Indian Premier League and It is their biggest win against Mumbai Indians in IPL, previous biggest win by 41-runs at Abu Dhabi in 2014.  Jasprit Bumrah's 5 for 10 was the second best bowling figures for Mumbai Indians in Indian Premier League after Alzarri Joseph's 6 for 12 and the best bowling figures by an MI bowler against Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL, surpassing the previous record of 4 for 16 held by Karn Sharma at Bengaluru in 2017. Jasprit Bumrah became the fifth Mumbai Indians bowler to claimed a five-wicket haul in IPL. Jasprit Bumrah's 5 for 10 was the second best economical bowling figures in IPL (minimum 5-wickets) after Anil Kumble's 5 for 5 against Rajasthan Royals at Cape Town in 2009. Jasprit Bumrah equalled a 16-ball joint third fastest to complete a five-wicket haul in IPL, jointly with RR's Sohail Tanvir's 16-ball five-for against CSK at Jaipur in the inaugural 2008 IPL. Kolkata Knight Riders' 165 was their ninth highest total against Mumbai Indians in IPL. Mumbai Indians' 113 was their tenth lowest score in Indian Premier League and It is their second worst-total against Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL.

KKR scored 165-9 in 20 overs with top scorer by Venkatesh Iyer hammered a 43 off 24-balls including 4-sixes & 3-fours with strike rate of 179.16.

Nitish Rana blasted a 43 off 26-balls included 4-sixes & 3-fours with strike rate of 165.38, Ajinkya Rahane 25 and Rinku Singh 23.

MI best bowler by Jasprit Bumrah 5-10, Kumar Karthikeya took 2-wickets and one for Daniel Sams - Murugan Ashwin.

MI scored 113 for all-out in 17.3 overs with top scorer by Ishan Kishan struck 51 off 43-balls including 5-fours & a six, Kieron Pollard 15 and Tim David 13 

KKR best bowler by Pat Cummins picked up 3-wickets for 22-runs in 4-overs, Andre Russell took 2-wickets and one for Tim Southee - Varun Chakravarthy.

Jasprit Bumrah named Player of the match for his pace bowling attack to claimed a career-best 5-wicket haul for 10-runs in 4-overs including a maiden with economy rate of 2.50.
