India best bowler by Karsan Ghavri picked up 3-wickets for 40-runs in 10-overs including a maiden, Sandeep Patil took 2-wickets and one for Kapil Dev.

India scored 140-9 in 45 overs with top scorer by Kapil Dev struck 50 off 68-balls including 4-fours & a six.

Yashpal Sharma cracked a 17 off 38-balls, Sunil Gavaskar and Gundappa Viswanath each scored 14 off consuming 40-balls.

New Zealand best bowler by Lance Cairns, Ewen Chatfield both picked up 2-wickets, Richard Hadlee took 1-wicket for 6-runs in 6-overs including three maidens with economy rate of 1, Gary Troup and Martin Snedden both takes one-wickets.
