All-round show from Hardik Pandya's maiden half-century with career-best four-for, Deepak Hooda, Suryakumar Yadav's rapid knocks and spinner Yuzvendra Chahal's two wickets helped to India thumping 50-run victory over England and take a 1-0 lead in the first T20I.

  • This is the Rohit Sharma's 13th consecutive T20I win as captain - the most consecutive wins by a captain in T20 international cricket history, surpassing the previous record of 12 consecutive wins jointly held by Asghar Afghan and Ramesh Satheesan.
  • 29 Innings : Rohit Sharma became the fastest Indian captain to reach 1000 T20I runs in terms of innings, beating Virat Kohli's record, He took 30 innings to reach this feat.

  • India's 198 was their fifth highest score against England in T20 international and It is their second highest total in England soil in T20Is.

  • Hardik Pandya's 4 for 33 was his best bowling performance for India in T20 international and the fourth best bowling figures by an Indian bowler against England in T20Is.
  • England's 148 was their fourth lowest score in the completed innings against India in T20 internationals.
  • 61 : Harry Brook and Moeen Ali set up the record fifth-wicket partnership for England against India in T20 international, previously held by the 45-run stand between Eoin Morgan and Jos Buttler at Birmingham in 2014 and the England's joint seventh highest fifth-wicket stand in T20Is, jointly 61-run stand held by between Eoin Morgan and Ben Stokes against South Africa at Centurion in 2020.

India scored 198-8 in 20 overs with top scorer by Hardik Pandya hammered a 51 off 33-balls, Suryakumar Yadav blasted a 39 off 19-balls including 4-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 205.26.

Deepak Hooda hammered a 33 off 17-balls included 3-fours & 2-sixes with strike-rate of 194.11, Rohit Sharma hit 24 off 14-balls included 5-fours with strike rate of 171.42 and Axar Patel 17.

England best bowler by Chris Jordan, Moeen Ali both took 2-wickets, Reece Topley, Tymal Mills and Matt Parkinson each took one-wickets.

England scored 148 for all-out in 19.3 overs with top scorer by Moeen Ali hammered a 36 off 20-balls including 4-fours & 2-sixes with strike rate of 180.

Harry Brook hit 28 off 23-balls including 2-fours & a six, Chris Jordan cracked a unbeaten 26 off 17-balls included 2-fours & a six and Dawid Malan hit 21 off 14-balls including 4-fours.

India best bowler by Hardik Pandya 4-33, Debutant Arshdeep Singh - who took 2-wickets on his debut T20I match, Yuzvendra Chahal took 2-wickets and one for Bhuvneshwar Kumar - Harshal Patel.

Hardik Pandya named Player of the match for his all-round performance to claimed a career-best 4-wickets for 33-runs in 4-overs after smashing a career-best 51 off facing 33-balls including 6-fours & a six with strike rate of 154.54.
