Bilal Muhammad, Amar Sharma, Bikram Arora, Basil George and Heinrich Gericke guided Malta convincing five-wicket victory over Gibraltar in the opening match of a Valletta Cup.
Gibraltar scored 132-6 in 20 overs with top scorer by Balaji Pai cracked a 42 off 39-balls including 4-fours & 2-sixes, Kenroy Nestor 16 and Andrew Reyes 15 not out.
Malta best bowler by Amar Sharma, Bilal Muhammad both took 2-wicketa and one for Bikram Arora.
Malta chased 135-5 in 16.5 overs with top scorer by Basil George struck 36 off 30-balls, Bikram Arora scored 36 off 45-balls including 4-fours and Heinrich Gericke hit 25 off 13-balls included 2-sixes with strike rate of 190.
Gibraltar best bowler by Debutant Zachary Simpson - who took 2-wickets on his debut T20I match, Balaji Pai, Kieron Ferrary both took one-wickets and Debutant Samarth Bodha - who took 1-wicket on his debut T20I match.
Basil George named Player of the match for his brilliant 36 off 30-balls including 2-sixes & 2-fours.
