Mark Adair and Josh Little's combined 5-wickets sets up to Ireland cruising to via DLS method seven-wicket victory over Afghanistan and Ireland registered their highest first bilateral T20I series win against Afghanistan by 3-2 in a rain-affected game of the fifth T20I.
Afghanistan scored 95-5 in 15 overs at rain stopped the play - with top scorer by Usman Ghani cracked a unbeaten 44 off 40-balls including 3-fours & 2-sixes, Azmatullah Omarzai 15 not out, Hazratullah Zazai 10 and Najibullah Zadran 10.
Ireland best bowler by Mark Adair 3-16 and Josh Little took 2-wickets.
Ireland chased 56-3 in 6.4 overs - due to rain revised target of 56 from 7-overs - with top scorer by Paul Stirling hit 16 off 10-balls including one-six & a four, Lorcan Tucker 14, Harry Tector 9 not out, Andy Balbirnie 9 and George Dockrell 7 not out.
Afghanistan best bowler by Mujeeb Ur Rahman took 2-wickets and one for Rashid Khan.
Mark Adair named Player of the match for his brilliant bowling performance to picked up 3-wickets for 16-runs in 2-overs.
George Dockrell earned player of the series for contributing 141 runs and took 2-wickets.
